Salsa Di Noci (Walnut Sauce Pasta)

  • ½ cup whole milk
  • 1½ cups/6 ounces walnut halves and pieces
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano, plus more for garnishing
  • 6 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon small fresh marjoram leaves or chopped parsley, for garnishing
