Not best buttercream to decorate with but tastes amazing!
Ingredients
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¾ cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups buttermilk, room temperature
  • 1½ cups plain hot coffee
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup dark unsweetened cocoa powder
  • subheading: BEST CHOCOLATE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING:
  • 6 cup confectioners sugar, sifted
  • 16 tablespoons butter (2 sticks)
  • 1⅓ cup dark unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1⅓ cup heavy whipping cream (may need more or less)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Salt, generous pinch
