Smokey Egg & Bacon Dip
Ingredients
  • 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 10 Slice speck or bacon
  • seasoning to taste
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ Litre water
  • 2 spring onions
  • Handful herbs of choice
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 200 g creme fraiche

  2. Preheat oven to 160°C.

  4. Place speck or bacon onto a lined baking tray and dust liberally with the paprika. Bake 30 minutes until very crisp. Cool.

  6. Place eggs into simmering basket and insert into TM bowl. Pour water over.

  8. Steam eggs 15 min/100°C/speed 4. Remove from basket, drain bowl, cool and peel eggs.

  10. Place spring onions, herbs and garlic into TM bowl and chop 3 sec/speed 5.

  12. Add peeled eggs, some of the bacon, in pieces and blend 10 sec/speed 8. (Reserve some for garnish.)

  14. Scrape down sides of bowl. Add creme fraiche and blend 10 sec/speed 10

  16. Garnish with remaining pieces of bacon and serve.
