My Wife and Children Don'T Eat This Stuff, So I Have to Cook for One
Ingredients
  • ¼ cup corn oil
  • ¼ cup white all purpose flour
  •  
  • Roux dark, but not all the way. (Ovaltine powder? milk chocolate?)
  •  
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 large bell pepper
  • 3 celery "hearts"
  • ¾ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp thyme
  • ¼ tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp white pepper
  • ¼ tsp black pepper, fresh ground
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp celery seed
  • ½ tsp chicken bouillon
  • ½ cup water
  •  
  • Cook until onions and peppers are done.
  •  
  • ½ heaping teaspoon of Silagy Habanero Sauce Batch 004 (made locally here in Washington)
  • 1 pound pre-cooked shrimp, thawed. (I know, I know...)
