  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 2 carrots, peeled, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
  • 6 cups chicken broth or stock
  • 1 avocado, peeled, pitted and cubed
  • 1 lime
  • Tortilla chips
  • Any combination of hot sauce, cilantro, queso fresco, for topping
