Ingredients
- 2 cups White Lilly Self Rising Flour
- 8T Crisco shortening
- 1 cup buttermilk
Steps
- Preheat oven to 425°
- Put all ingredients in a Kitchenaid mixer with a dough hook.
- Mix on lowest speed for 2+ minutes.
- Dust hands lightly with flour; pinch balls of dough, roll slightly by hand - make 6 biscuits
- Place on pan coated with Crisco; pat biscuits to flatten slightly.
- Brush biscuit tops with melted butter
- Place pan in center of oven rack
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes
Notes
- This was 8/23 recipe instructions. Next time, use a dark pan, not a shiny pan. Looking for slightly dark biscuit bottoms
