Ingredients
- Organic and raw apple cider vinegar
- Lemon
- Orange
- Garlic 10 cloves
- Half onion
- Jalapeño / peppers
- Wasabi / horseradish powder (3 tbsp) or horseradish root
- Turmeric
- Ginger
- subheading: 2 to 3tsp dried (or 2 to 3tbsp fresh):
- Rosemary
- Lavender
- Sage
- Thyme
- Yarrow
- Nettle
- Peppercorn
- Clove
- Star anise
- Cinnamon
Steps
- Chop as blunt or as fine as you want and add to a 1 quart jar. Seems to me that the more finely you cut, the stronger the infusion.
- Cover all the plant matter with ACV. Plant matter can fill the jar or be only half with the rest ACV...depends on how much potency you desire :)
- Cap the jar. Plastic lids are better than metal for vinegars because the acids cause rust. If must use metal, place a parchment or wax paper barrier between lid and jar.
- Shake or stir daily, or as much as you can to break up the plant matter and infuse the ACV!
- After 6+ weeks (can infuse for months if you want!), strain out the plant matter, compost, and store the fire cider in glass.
- Strain the vinegar into a clean jar. Add honey to taste. Refrigerate and use within a year.
- Drink shots, or enjoy as a health tonic. One part fire cider with two parts water, and add honey to taste :)
