  • 8 garlic cloves (whole)
  • 2 tsp kosher salt (more to taste)
  • 2 tsp Mexican oregano (or regular)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 cups chicken broth (or beef)
