Ingredients

  • 1 block firm tofu, cubed, pat dry
  • 1 bunch of fresh scallions, chopped. Separate the white and green parts.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 Thai chili peppers, minced
  • 2 stalks lemongrass, remove tough outer leaves, minced
  • subheading: For the sauce:
  • ½ tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon tamari sauce or to taste
  • ½ tablespoon chili oil or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or to taste
  • 1.5 tablespoon syrup or sugar or to taste
  • Whisk the cornstarch with the cold water until dissolved. Add all other ingredients and mix well.
