Ingredients

  • 1 generous pinch grated nutmeg
  • 1 generous pinch salt
  • ¼ cup (2 oz.) unsalted butter, at room temperature

  • 1 ¼ cup unbleached all-purpose flour (or 1 cup white whole wheat flour and ¼ cup all-purpose)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
