Instant Pot popcorn
Ingredients
  • 2 Tbsp Solid Coconut oil
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional ⅛ to ¼ cup sugar
Steps
  1. subheading: HOW TO MAKE POPCORN ::::
  2. I set my empty pot to Saute (Adjust to: More), and wait for the display to read HOT.  Then add 2 tbsp solid unrefined coconut oil. Wait for the display to read HOT. Then add 2 tbsp butter* and when it says HOT again, I quickly put in ½ cup fresh POP SECRET kernels. I put a glass lid on it, and offset it a smidgen to let steam out. Within a minute or two, it starts popping. No shaking, no stirring!! The popping will start to slow down (like it would in the microwave), after maybe 4 minutes or so. Then I turn off the heat and remove the lid!
  3. * I’ve recently switched to using a coconut oil & ghee combo by Carrington Farms. I love this brand. When I use this, I only add this and no butter. I stir in another 2 tablespoons of coconut oil/ghee at the end after its popped!
  4. For Kettle Corn, I added salt and ⅛ to ¼ cup granulated sugar (I tasted as I added it)- and just stirred it into the still hot pot with the coconut oil/ghee (after it popped!)
