Basic White Bread for Bread Machine (1 1/2 Pound Loaf)
My mother-in-law's recipe.

Servings: 1 ½ Pound Loaf

Servings: 1 1/2 Pound Loaf
Ingredients
  • 1⅛ cups room temperature water - 262 grams
  • 1½ Tbsp butter - 32 grams
  • 3 c bread flour - 360 grams
  • 1 ½ Tbsp powdered milk - 21 grams
  • 3 Tbsp sugar - 34 grams
  • 1 ½ tsp salt - 12 grams
  • 1 tsp instant or bread machine yeast - 6 grams
Steps
  1. Make sure paddle is In bread pan.
  2. Pour water into pan.
  3. Add butter.
  4. Place flour, powdered milk, sugar and salt in pan
  5. Make a small well in dry ingredients and carefully add yeast into well.
  6. Place pan inside machine and start or set if using delay.
Notes
  • Increase yeast by ½ tsp if using the rapid setting.
  • Follow the instructions for your bread maker.
