Nutritional Yeast Dressing - Delicious!
This yeast dressing is the best thing… ever.

No really – my taste buds have never been so happy. And I’m fairly certain your life will finally be complete once you taste it.

But what’s even better is that dressing up salad is not where the fun ends – oh no, my friend – this dressing will jazz up anything on your plate that feels a little boring.  Put it on ANYTHING savory -- garden salad, pancakes, steamed vegs, chicken: you name it!

The tahini listed below is optional, but I highly, highly, highly recommend it. It's the same sesame paste that is used to make hummus creamy. In this dressing, it also thickens and helps to keep the mixture emulsified so that it doesn't separate in the fridge. If you can't find tahini, peanut butter would probably be an excellent substitute and would give the dressing a bit of a Thai flavor.
Ingredients
  • ½ cup nutritional yeast (must be nutritional yeast, other yeasts do not work!)
  • ⅓ cup water
  • ⅓ cup tamari or soy sauce (I prefer tamari because it’s more flavourful and gluten free)
  • ⅓ cup raw apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp crushed garlic (I usually throw in somewhere around 3 to 6 whole cloves in there)
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil (approximately… give or take)
