- 1 c sugar

- 3 egg yolks
- 1 t vanilla
- ½ c flour
- 3 c milk
- 2 T butter
Steps
- Mix in a double boiler sugar, flour, salt, salt, milk. Cook over boiling water for about 15 minutes until thick. Temper in egg yolks cooking 3 more minutes. Add butter and vanilla. Cool
