Ingredients
  • 6 - eggs
  • ¾ tsp. - cream of tartar
  • 2 c. - sugar
  • 1 tsp. - vanilla
  • ¾ c. - nuts (chopped)
  • 2 packages - Dream Whip
  • 1 large can - cherry pie filling
  • 2 c. - soda crackers (broken into large pieces)
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Grease rectangular pan well.
  3. Separate eggs & beat egg whites together with cream of tartar until they almost begin to set. Gradually beat in sugar & vanilla; then stir in crackers & nuts.
  4. Spread egg white mixture in pan & bake for 25-mins.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare Dream Whip per package instructions & spread on top of baked meringue.
  6. Spread pie filling on top of Dream Whip.
  7. Chill overnight.
