A collected recipe from my recipe box. From recipe cards my mom received in the mail years ago, recipes hand written from family members, clipped from coupon circlers, recipe cards from the store, recipe cards found in certain food boxes, recipes from food tubs, magazines and can food labels.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Combine all ingredients in medium bowl.
  2. Shape dough into 1-inch balls; place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten with fork in a crisscross design.
  3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned and slightly puffed. Cool 1 minute on baking sheet, then remove to wire rack to cool completely. Makes 24 servings.
