This easy vegetarian bolognese sauce has crumbled tempeh, nutritional yeast, and flavourful spices. Done in under 30 minutes but with all-day flavour and packed with plant-based protein, this vegetarian pasta sauce is the perfect quick and healthy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 4 cloves garlic crushed
  • 226.8 g package tempeh crumbled
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 0.5 tsp chili powder
  • 2 x 400 g can diced tomatoes
  • 62.5 ml water more as needed
  • 11 g nutritional yeast flakes
