IP Chicken and Dumplings
Ingredients
  • • 4 Boneless-Skinless Chicken Breasts(whole)
  • • 1 Onion Chopped ( I used onion powder)
  • • 1 Cup sliced Carrots
  • • Celery Chopped 2 stalks cut into large pieces
  • • 4 T Butter
  • • Salt & Pepper
  • • Chicken Broth ( I used 4 Cups of Homemade chicken broth)
  • • 2 Cans Refrigerated Buttermilk Biscuits cut into quarters  You can make homemade if you like
Steps
  1. Place Butter, Chicken Breast, Onion, Celery, herbs & seasoning into Instant Pot and then Cover with Chicken Broth.
  2. Cook on Poultry Setting 15 minutes….  NPR ( took about 10 minutes or so) & open carefully. Use 2 Forks to shred Chicken meat.
  3. I shredded the chicken and added back with quartered biscuits and set to Beef/Stew for 7 minutes and a controlled Quick Release. Moving the release knob back & forth to prevent spewing.
Notes
  • : You can add a can of cream of chicken soup along with the chicken broth in the beginning if you like.
