Ingredients
- 1 cup Jasmine rice
- 1 cup water or broth
- ¼ to ½ teaspoon fine sea salt/table salt (optional)
Steps
- Rinse rice under cold water by gently scrubbing the rice with your fingertips in a circling motion until water runs clear.
- Drain well
- Add rice and water (broth) to pot.
- Close the lid and set seal.
- Set manual to 3 to 4 minutes.
- Natural release for 10 minutes.
- Release the remaining pressure, then open the lid quickly.
- Optional Seasoning: Add salt to the rice for seasoning.
- Fluff & Serve: Fluff with a fork and serve warm.
Notes
- If you use the rice measuring cup that came with the Instant Pot Pressure Cooker to measure the rice, remember to use the same measuring cup to measure the water.
- If wanting more than 1 cup, ratio is 1 to 1. 1 cup rice to 1 cup water (broth).
- If you like your rice a bit sticky, don't rinse it.
