  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 cups water

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 (14 oz) can petite diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 2 (8 oz) cans tomato sauce
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • 1 large carrot, grated or sliced into quarter inch rounds
  • 1 (10 oz) package frozen or fresh cheese tortellini**
  • 1 medium green pepper, diced
  • 1 medium zucchini, diced
