Bacon Cheddar 7-Up Biscuits

6 slices bacon

4 C. buttermilk baking mix (such as Bisquick)

2 tbsp. granulated sugar

⅛ tsp. baking powder

1 C. sour cream

1 (7 oz) can lemon-lime soda (I usually use 7-Up)

1 (heaping) C. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

¼ C. (½ stick) unsalted butter
