1 teaspoon garlic, pressed or finely grated

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 ½ cups half and half (or whole milk), more if needed

½ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon Kosher salt

⅛ teaspoon cracked black pepper

½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
