Ingredients
  • 2 lbs of lean ground beef
  • 1 white onion, peeled and diced
  • ¼ t ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon dry thyme, to taste
  • ½ t dried basil
  • ¼ teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1 (1 ½ ounce) packaged onion soup mix
  • 6 cups of water, of desired consistency
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 t soy sauce
  • 1 (15 oz) can diced tomato
  • 1 (15 oz) can of drained corn
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • ¼ c coarsely chop celery leaves
  • 1 cup chopped fresh carrots
  • 1 cup white potatoes, peeled and cut into small cubes
  • Salt garlic to taste
  • Shredded Parmesan cheese, to serve
  • Sour cream for serving
