Auntie Kenda's Apple Pie
Ingredients
  • Crust
  • 2 cupa flour
  • ¾ to 1 Cup buttery crisco
  • 6 to 8 Tablespoons water
  • Filling
  • 5 Grannysmith apples-cored and peeled
  • ¾ Cup sugar
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  •  
  • Aluminum foil
  • Pie pan
Steps
  1. Pie crust: mix two cups flour + ¾ to 1 Cup buttery flavored Crisco and mix until pea size, add 6 to 8 tablespoons of water depending on the humidity where You Are.
  2. Filling: put five cored & peeled Granny Smith apples into the bottom pie crust, top with the mixture of ¾ cup sugar, ¼ cup flour, one teaspoon cinnamon.
  3. Put the top crust on, put aluminum foil around the pinched edges of the pie so it won't burn, poke holes in the top to let Steam vent, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  4. Bake it 425° for 50 minutes to an hour, or until apples are soft.
