Ingredients

  • 1 ½ c. raisins
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 3 T. flour
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 4 eggs, separated and at room temperature
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 1 ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 9-inch pie crust, baked
  • Stir together sugar, flour, salt, and cinnamon in a heavy, medium saucepan. Beat egg yolks lightly and stir into mixture. Add sour cream and raisins. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened. Pour into baked pie crust.  Top hot filling with meringue.

  • 4 egg whites, at room temperature
  • ½ c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
