Bacon Mushroom Sauce
  • 1/2 lb bacon, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 oz Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  1. Dice bacon into small pieces and fry in a large pan over medium high heat until bacon is crispy.
  2. Set bacon aside leaving the grease in the pan.
  3. Drain all but about 2 tbsp grease.
  4. Add garlic and onion, sauté for about 1 minute over med/high.
  5. Add mushrooms and sauté for 10 minutes or until brown and tender.
  6. Add in the cheese, heavy whipping cream, cooked bacon, salt and pepper to taste to the pan and mix together and cook over medium heat until sauce thickens.
