Sweet Italian Sausages with Braised White Beans and Kale

  • 1 large Vidalia onion, cut in half through the stem and thinly sliced
  • 4 medium garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ cup dry white wine, such as Pinot Grigio
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
  • 3 cups chopped kale leaves, lightly packed
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 ½ cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 fresh rosemary sprig
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for serving
  • Freshly ground Parmesan cheese, for serving
  • Rustic country bread, for serving
