Cardamom & Rose Water Simple Syrup

I am retired and currently doing what I have always wanted to do, I am a true blue Homemaker. My DH and I moved from our lifelong home in Hawaii to Arizona. We worked very hard, as most people do, so that we could indulge in life. We are having a blast!
This simple syrup would be lovely over Ice Cream or even to soak your cakes in
Ingredients
  • 1 C. granulated Sugar
  • 1 C. Water
  • 2 Cardamom Pods, seeds removed and discard the pod
  • 1 tsp. Rose Water
Steps
  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a small pot
  2. Bring to a boil
  3. Lower to a simmer; cook for 15 minutes
Notes
  • Cook's Note: A splash of Rum might be nice too
