Ingredients
  • 1 pound jimmy dean sausage
  • ⅓ to ½ cup flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 1 tsp. sage
  • 1 cube of chicken bouillon
  • ½ tsp. red pepper
  • ground black pepper
Steps
  1. In large frying pan brown sausage, do not grain grease
  2. add flour to sausage and stir continuously until flour is browned
  3. add sage, chicken bouillon, and red pepper
  4. pour in milk, allow gravy mixture to come to a boil, continually stirring
  5. reduce heat. simmer gravy until desired thickness is reached
  6. serve over biscuits
Notes
  • to make sure that the gravy doesn't taste like flour, make sure to brown the flour really well with the sausage.
