  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1½ cups (339 g) butter, cut into ½ inch pieces and chilled
  • 1 large egg, beaten and cold
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • ¼ to ⅓ cup (or more) ice water
