Ingredients
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1½ pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup Romano cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

  • subheading: Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp. mustard
  • ⅔ cup ketchup
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350⁰F.
  2. Brown onions in butter and garlic to soften.
  3. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients except those for the sauce; mix well.
  4. Place meat mixture into a lightly greased loaf pan or form into a loaf and place in a lightly greased 9x13" baking dish.
  5. In a separate small bowl, combine the brown sugar, mustard and ketchup. Mix well and pour over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake at 350⁰F for 1 hour.
Notes
  • About 2 tbsp. of dried minced onions can be substituted for the fresh onions.
  • Ground turkey or ground chicken can be substituted for the beef.
