Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
  • 2# Brussels sprouts, washed, trimmed
  • ¼ red onion chopped
  • ½ stick of butter
  • Garlic minced
  • Salt
  • 1½c half n half
  • 2T flour for rue
  • ½ bag ( Mozzerrella, provolone, Parmesan)
Steps
  1. Blanch sprouts for about 3 to 5 minutes then dump into an ice bath.  Drain.  Layer them into a buttered casserole dish.
  2. Sauté onions and butter then add garlic and salt.  Add flour to make rue and then the half n half.  Stir until thickened.  Add a half of a bag of the cheese.  Stir until melted.  Pour over sprouts.  Bake 35 minutes at 350*
