Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef (I use 90% lean)
  • 1 ½ tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 yellow or white onion , diced
  • 2 tbsp chili powder (I use this one)
  • 2 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 1 ½ tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 ½ tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 (15 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 ½ cup bone broth , or beef/chicken/veggie broth
  • 1 (15 oz) can red kidney beans , sub black beans if preferred (rinsed and drained)
  • 1 (8 oz) tomato sauce

  • jalapenos , sliced and seeded (optional)
  • sour cream
  • cheddar cheese , shredded

  • tortilla chips
  • avocado , sliced
