Garlic Jalapeno Cheese Bread - Bread Machine I'm still working on this loaf, to perfect it!

Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm water (110° F/45° C)
  •  
  • 2 Tbsp. Minced Garlic (Whole cloves or sliced would also be tasty, add to dough with Cheese & Peppers)
  •  
  • 1 Tbsp. white sugar (you can probably reduce, maybe even eliminate this)
  •  
  • 375g Bread Flour (a bit more than 3 cups)
  •  
  • 2 Tblsp Powdered milk (optional)
  •  
  • 1Tbsp Vital Wheat Gluten - Note: try 2Tbsp next time
  •  
  • 1 tsp. salt
  •  
  • 2 tsp. SAF Red Instant yeast
  •  
  • 2 Medium-large Jalapeno Peppers Sliced ⅛", seeds left in (or removed for less heat)
  •  
  • ¾ cup Cubed Cheddar/Jack cheese - ½"-¾" cubes
  •  
  • Shredded Mixed Cheese
Steps
  1. Add water, sugar & minced garlic to pan.
  2. Add flour, salt then add yeast on top of flour.
  3. Set your machine to regular basic bread. Medium color, if your machine has that feature!
  4. Add Peppers, Cheese & Whole garlic (if using) during add extra ingredients stage of your machine.
  5. After final rise, before it bakes add shredded cheese on top of dough!
Notes
  • When I added the cheese & peppers I thought I had put in to much, but it turned out fine.
  • Feel free to experiment!
  • When I was cleaning out my machine to put it away, I noticed that I had some oil from the cheese that I put on top drip over the side of the pan!
  • We love this toasted, slathered with butter! Enjoy!!!
