Dairy Queen Ice Cream

Ingredients
  • 2 pks. knox geletin
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 4 cups milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt
  • cool whip - large
Steps
  1. Soak:2 envelopes knox gelatin in ½ cup cold water
  2. Heat: 4 cups whole milk until hot but not boiling. Remove from heat.
  3. Add in your gelatin, 2 cups sugar (or less if you don't want it to sweet),2 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. salt.
  4. Let cool
  5. Whip 3 cups cream until a little stiff then fold into above mixture. Chill for 5 or 6 hours before freezing. Makes 1 gallon.
  6. Ingredients can be varied to suit taste.
