Grandma's Surprise Onion Soup Bread (1968)

I love the Low Carb lifestyle but I have a big family so not all my recipes are low carb. Some of my recipes are changed to fit my taste. I also love DIY home goods.

3 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour -

½ teaspoon baking soda

2 pkg (2 oz) dry onion soup mix

2 cups buttermilk

1 ½ cups cheddar cheese grated or shredded, divided
