John's Biscuits and Gravy

Ingredients
  • 1 package flaky biscuits
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups cooked ground turkey, ground beef, or sausage
Steps
  1. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add flour and cook for a 2 to 3 minutes.
  2. Slowly add in chicken broth, stirring constantly to remove and lumps of flour. Bring to a simmer and cook until thickened, 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Bake biscuits according to package directions.
  4. Add cooked meat to the thickened gravy and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve over biscuits.
  5. Optional: top with a fried egg or two!
