Cinnamon Biscuits
Ingredients
  • 2 C. Flour
  • 1 T. Baking Powder
  • 1 t. Cinnamon
  • 2 T. Sugar
  • ¾ t. Kosher Salt
  • ½ C. Cold Butter
  • 1 C. Cinnamon chips chopped up
  • 1 C. Whole Buttermilk
  • Whipping Cream Glaze
Steps
  1. Preheat oven in 425°. Mix first four ingredients, cut cold butter into flour mixture until it resembles crumbs. Add Chocolate Chips, mix well. Gradually add Buttermilk a little at a time until dough comes together. Kneed dough on well floured surface four or five times. Adding a little extra cinnamon as you knead the dough, Roll dough out and cut with biscuit cutter. Place biscuits in 10 inch cast iron skillet slightly touching. Bake until slightly browned about 17 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes then drizzle with whipping cream glaze.

  • WHIPPING CREAM GLAZE
  • 1 C. Powdered Sugar
  • ⅓ C. Whipping Cream
  • ¼ t. Vanilla
  • ⅛ t. Kosher Salt
  • Stir together and pour over warm biscuits.
