Comforting No-Meat Balls
Ingredients
  • 1 cup dry lentils water
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • ½ cup Silk Almondmilk
  • ½ teaspoon coarse salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¾ cup cooked black beans, drained and rinsed
  • ¼ cup flour (oat flour, whole wheat flour, or flour of your choice)
  • avocado oil or higher-heat oil of choice
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 heaping tablespoon tomato paste
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ¼ cup tamari, soy sauce, or coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper (to taste)
