Lemon Loaf
Ingredients
  • 1½ c flour
  • ¼ t baking powder
  • ⅛ t soda
  • 1 c sugar
  • ½ c butter
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ c sour cream
  • Grated peel of lemon
Steps
  1. Prepare 9x5 loaf pan
  2. Preheat oven 325*
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, soda set aside.
  4. Beat sugar, butter, until light and fluffy.  About 5 minutes.  Reduce speed adding in eggs one at a time.  Add flour alternately with sour cream.  Stir in lemon peel.  Pour in loaf pan.  Bake 1 hour 15 min
  5. Glaze:  ⅓c lemon juice
  6. ⅓ c sugar
  7. Mix well and pour over warm cake in pan.  Cool
