Pakistani Chicken Kachori Recipe (My Mom's Version)
Ingredients
  • Dough
  • 2.5 cups all purpose flour ( 325g)
  • 4 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ⅔ to ¾ cup water, added a little at a time
  • Cornstarch slurry: 2 tablespoon oil and 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • subheading: Chicken & Veggie Filling:
  • 2 cups shredded chicken (about 4 chicken tenders)
  • 1 cup finely chopped bell pepper (about 1 large pepper)
  • 1 cup grated carrots (about 2 small carrots)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ to ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ to 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce each
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp chili garlic sauce or ketchup
  • 2 tbsp cream (any cream will work)
  • subheading: Assembly & frying:
  • Oil for frying
  • Sauce of choice to serve with (I like ketchup or chili garlic sauce)
