Sheila's (Mom's) Easy Beef Burritos or Burrito Bowl (Isaacs-Martinez Family)
My Easy Beef Burrito recipe is hearty and filling. Can be made into burritos or just a simple dip with tortilla chips on Taco Tuesday.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (15.5 ounce) can light red kidney beans*
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 burrito seasoning packet
  • 1½ cups Monterey Jack cheese
  • Flour tortillas
  • Tortilla chips
  • Salsa optional, for serving
  • Sour cream optional, for serving
  • Guacamole optional, for serving
Steps
  1. In a large pan add in hamburger and cook until browned.
  2. Stir in kidney beans, mash until resembles refried beans, diced tomatoes and burrito seasoning packet. Cook until the beans are heated through.
  3. Stir in cheese. Cover pot with lid and let rest for 5 minutes for the cheese to melt.
  4. Spoon into bowls or flour tortillas and top with your favorite toppings. If putting in bowls serve with tortilla chips.
Notes
  • *Can use refried or black beans.
