  • 150 g plain (all-purpose) flour
  • 65 g desiccated coconut (that’s the fine one)
  • 125 g (4½ oz) butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp golden syrup
  • ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda (baking soda)
  • 3 tbsp boiling water
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes optional
