Ingredients
  • 1¾ c. milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 slices bread (torn into pieces)
  • ¼ small onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. ground sage
  • dash black pepper
  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 4 oz. sharp American cheese (cubed)
  • ½ slice canned pimiento
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Put ¾-c. milk, eggs, bread, salt, sage, & black pepper into blender container.
  3. Pour over meat in large mixing bowl & mix well.
  4. Pat meat into 9x5x3-in. loaf pan & bake 1½-hrs.
  5. Transfer meatloaf to serving platter.
  6. Pour remaining milk, butter, flour, cheese, & pimiento in blender container; blend till cheese is finely chopped.
  7. Transfer contents of blender to saucepan & cook over low heat, stirring constantly, till sauce is thick & smooth.
  8. Spoon cheese sauce over top of meatloaf.
