Miss Linda's Cajun Rice & Gravy
Ingredients
  • 2 lb chuck roast
  • 2 tsp Tony Chachere or Slap Ya Mama seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (or one whole tsp if you prefer spicier)
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic - minced or finely chopped
  • 2 stalk celery, chopped
  • 4 cups beef stock (32oz)
  • 4 tbsp dark roux (or powdered roux equivalent)
