Ingredients
  • 1 ounce árbol chiles, rinsed and stemmed
  •  
  • water
  •  
  • 4 tomatillos
  •  
  • 2 large tomatoes
  •  
  • 1 medium white onion chopped
  •  
  • 2 cloves garlic
  •  
  • 1c of cilantro
  •  
  • 1 lime juice
  •  
  • 1tsp of salt
Steps
  1. In a medium pot, add the chiles de arbol and enough water to completely cover them. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once you have a boil going throw in your tomatoes and garlic and continue boiling for 10 more minutes.
  2. Transfer everything to a blender including the cilantro, onions, salt and lime juice. Add ¾ cup of fresh water and pulse blend until chunky but somwhat smooth.
  3. Taste and add more salt as needed.
