  • I love mini size of food, it looks so cute and neat especially on dinning table. Everytime when we eat out, yam ring is one of the common dish we always order,  i find its so messy to eat this dish, now i create my mini size of Yam Ring into a nest----佛体飘香. Do you like it?

  • Ingredients
  • 10 pcs medium size prawn
  • 200g Yam (grated)
  • 5 scallop (cubes)
  • 3 crab stick (cubes)
  • 2 stalks dried mushroom (soak and diced, marinate it with Knorr All-IN-ONE seasoning and pepper)
  • 3 water chestnuts (cubes)
  • 2 Asparagus (cubes)
  • Pistachio nuts
  • 1 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 slices ginger minced
  • Knorr ALL-IN-ONE  seasoning
  • 1 tsp light soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp cooking wine
  • ⅛ tsp sugar
  • Pepper and salt
  • Method
  • 1. Devein prawn, keep the tail. Marinate with ⅛ tsp Knorr ALL-IN-ONE seasoning, few drops of sesame oil and pinch of salt n pepper.
  • 2. Making Yam Bird's Nest
  • - Place grated yam in a mixing bowl, add in ½ tsp of Knorr ALL-IN-ONE seasoning, ⅛ tsp salt, ⅛ tsp five spice powder, mix well.
  • - Spread a handful of grated yam on a sieve,
  • Slightly press on it and deep fry it together with the sieve till golden brown. To remove yam bird's nest,  just use  a knife knock at the rim of the sieve, it will fall out easily. Set aside for later use.
  • 3. Pet dry prawn with kitchen towel, deep fry till prawn are cooked. Set aside for later use
  • 4. In a frying pan, heat up 1  tbsp of cooking oil, saute garlic, ginger till fragrant.  Put in mushroom stir fry for a short while follow by  asparagus, water chestnuts and carrot. Add a bit of water and stir fry for 1 or 2 mins. Put  in scallop and crab meat follow by 1 tsp Knorr ALL-IN-ONE seasoning, cooking wine,light soya sauce, sugar, pepper and salt to taste.
  • 5. Scoop ingredients with a spoon onto yam nest.
  • 6. Place a prawn on top and decorate with  celery and pistachio nuts.
