Spaghetti sauce. From mom's original
Mine
Ingredients
  • Four 28oz cans of crushed tomatoes, 112 ounces, good Italian tomatoes
  • Three pieces of pork ribs, two Italian sausage links, six thick slices of pepperoni
  • One bunch of parsley chopped, one ½ large bulbs of minced garlic, three-quarter cup minced onion, six basil leaves or dried basil, 1 tablespoon fennel seed ½ cup Romano or Parmesan cheese, two small cans tomato paste, red pepper flakes
  • Olive oil
  • Parslied garlic salt
Steps
  1. Sprinkle pork with parslied garlic salt and brown well with the sausage in olive oil, sauté onion to tender, add garlic and sauté for about four minutes more .heat the tomatoes till hot and add the sautéed items along with the pepperoni, parsley, basil, fennel, a little black pepper and a little red pepper flakes. Cook about two hours on medium stirring often. Add tomato paste which has been blended with two cans of water, simmer on low for about an hour. Remove meat , add grated cheese and a tablespoon of sugar. Simmer about ½ hour. Instead of sugar, use a little baking soda to remove the acidity
