  • 1 Tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes or to taste
  • 1.5 tsp sea salt or to taste
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 strip orange peel
  • Orange zest from 1 orange
  • 2 scallions or fresh cilantro (thinly sliced for garnish)

  • 2 cups orange juice freshly squeezed
  • ½ lime (or lemon) juiced (optional)
  • 1.75 cups water
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup optional
