Easy Brown Gravy with Onions (No Drippings)
This easy brown gravy is made with beef stock and thickened with roux made of flour and butter! No drippings required and ready in under 10 minutes! The perfect gravy to serve during the holidays for Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Ingredients
  • 3 Sweet Onions sliced evenly
  • 3 cup beef-like broth - or beef-like stock
  • 6 Tablespoons flour - see Note 1
  • 3 ½ Tablespoons butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ teaspoon ground sage
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon beef-like bouillon base - (optional); See Note 2
  • bay leaf - (optional)
